Does anyone know why my skimmer is producing less skimmate since I added a BRS CO2 scrubber using absorbent material?

My ph is better but skim is less. Is this normal?

I'm not sure. The fact there is less CO2 in the water could result in less microalgae growth in the water. The higher pH could also be causing improved coral growth which will consume more DOC's.

I had the same thing happen when I first installed mine.

How long is the media lasting you before it needs to be swapped?

Interesting, it only lasts for about a week for me. 3 adults, three dogs and 2 small parrots. It's quickly becoming a very expensive media because of that. It doesn't even completely work for me, highest pH i get is about 8.0. I'm thinking about taking it offline and selling the reactor and the leftover media.
