Something happened, possibly temp flucuation and 2 corals, 2 shrimp and 3 fish died. 125 g tank with 30 gallon sump. Have changed 50 percent of the water over the course of 3 days. No more losses after this. Took water sample after water changes to local fish store (these guys are good). All parameters such as ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, ph, phosphates, calcium all great. Alkalinity over 10 which is my normal reading.
w 3 weeks all existing corals look great, fish looking good, eating normally etc.
Skimmer was producing tons of micro bubbles. To turn the skimmer up enough to knock most of the micro bubbles down caused the skimmer to overflow like mad. Micro bubbles seem to have calmed down quite a bit, but skimmer still not producing ANY skimmate. Only not quite clear liquid. Bubble size at the top is not very big compared to before. Skimmer has been ran for several hours in a vinegar and water bath, then disassembled, cleaned and rinsed. Same result.
Water quality great, fish and corals doing well, no skimmate
