Needed to consolidate number of quarantine tanks as treatments are finishing up and making room for permanent homing in new 200 gallon.

Presently, tang gang is getting along in the smaller tank but pooping a lot. Lol. So added an old skimmer.

Question: metroplex label says turn off chemical filtration. Does that include a skimmer?

Prazipro label says no skimmer and no chemical filtration.

Can i shut off only for prazi?

Chemical means things like charcoal and other chemically filled pads.

You should still run your skimmer for both of those meds. The prazi may cause the skimmer to foam too much, just don't collect the skimmate, let it go back into the tank for now. The reason is that skimmers do a great job at driving off excess carbon dioxide and they help aerate the water - both are important during a prazi treatment.

Is it just the photo, or is that tank pretty murky? High bacterial loading can cause that, as well as lack of mechanical filtration. I see the dual ammonia badges there, do you have a backup ammonia test? I just haven't a lot of faith in the badges.

Thanks man!

It took a day after cleaning the quarantine tanks for the "cloud" to clear. Also theres a pretty good algae and salt layer on inside and outside of the glass... im kind lazy with keeping qt's glass nice...

Copper treatment is done. Letting the fish go a week or two with no meds and carbon and copper remover. All ate well during copper treatment but i'll fatten em up with a break in meds before next round of meds.

I typically dose some prime after cleaning the tanks and stirring things up.

Appreciate the comment and look out!! For what it's worth, ive found the seachem badges helpful and better than ballpark accurate. They'll change color back and forth if ammonia rises or lowers (these qt's have been up since october so im less worried now).

I have praxi and metro and focus next. Wrote down the schedule somewhere, will double check before i begin. Think it's two round of praxi then metro in water and in food with focus.
