Skimmer options for new 180 Gallon

Hello,

I am looking for skimmer options for my new 180 gallon build. The tank will be sps/lps and will have plenty of room in my sump. Budget is $500. Any suggestions would be great.

There's a number of good choices, but I would suggest a Sea Side Aquatics ES7. It's the same as the Bubble Magus Curve 7, but uses a Sicce PSK 1000 skimmer pump.

Tunze 9410 or 9415. The 9410 might cut it if you're going to keep the fish population light...otherwise look at the 9415. It's a bit oversized for 180 gallons, but I think you'd love it. Unique features. Very easy to live with/maintain. And it's a beast.

Check out the new IceCap K2-160. I'm running the K2-120 and I've gotta say this skimmer is awesome! Break in time was quick, it's silent, easy to adjust, fully disassembles for easy cleaning.

I should say the K2-200 for the OP. Rated for 200-300g tanks and within his budget.

Reef octopus elite 220 is what I am running on a 140 and I love it. VERY QUIET!! DC pump so can adjust. The 200 is just a tad over your max though

Honestly ive come to the conclusion that any taller skimmer with a very reliable pump is the a good one.

Several places online. Just google icecap k2 series. Prices are all the same so it's about whom ever you're familiar/comfortable with. I ordered mine from saltwateraquarium.com
