Last night I placed about 21 corals using fluval sea epoxy. This morning my skimmer was overflowing. I assume it was going all night. The epoxy seemed to cloud the water as I ended up using an entire stick. Would this cause the skimmer to go crazy. I have a nyos and have never had this happen before with this skimmer after 9 months running. I had to go into the office so I have yet to clean the skimmer. Please help

Yes, whenever I use epoxy my skimmer wants to overflow. I use a Vertex Omega and have to open my skimmer drain up about 10% more than normal after I stick new frags. It goes away for me in a couple of days.

Yup. Lots of epoxies can cause your skimmer to go nuts. When that happens to me I just keep dumping the cup when I can and keep an eye on salinity.

I ran a round of koral restore recently and that made my skimmer go absolutely insane.

Ok, thanks for the help. Much appreciated

My Somatic 60S over flowed for about 3 days after using 1/2 a stick of D-D 2 part epoxy. I just turned it down and adjusted it until it was back to normal settings.

I appreciate you asking this question. My skimmer just went bonkers and had no idea why. I just used two part epoxy to stick three new coral so that must be it.
I cleaned the cup then pulled the drain plug. Should I let the skimmer run without the collection cup plug or just shot it off? The cup is filling up in about 10 minutes.
