so out of nowhere, my skimmer started to overflow even though I have the water level sooo low.

Like the amount of bubbles it would normally make at this level would put it around half way up the skimmer body, but for some reason it is all the way to the collection cup. They are very thick bubbles and seem to not break so whatever reason. Could it be humidity too high, because the heat turned on in the basement?

I never had a problem with this before and just cannot seem to figure it out. Normally I have to raise the water level in the skimmer to almost as high as it can go, so normally completely closed but now I have it wide open. Like I said the water level in the skimmer is still so low like normal, but the bubbles are foaming so much more and not breaking like they normally would.

I've had this happen to me before too. Make sure your air intake does not have any blockage, make sure the pump is tightened properly into the skimmer chamber. How old is your skimmer, when is the last time you soaked it in vinegar. That was the solution for me, a good old fashioned vinegar bath every 6 months or so.

unfortunately I did this too but it is not like the normal overflowing. This is different. The skimmer is only 1-2 months old too.

The bubbles it is making do not break, so instead of the water level near the neck and the bubbles only going up a couple inches and then breaking into the collection cup. The water is about 10-12 inches below the neck but yet these HUGE bubbles are still going all the way up the skimmer body and then not breaking in the collection cup and they are so big and dense that they like lift up the collection cup. So it is not like it is overflowing, it just is not skimming properly because these bubbles are not breaking which is very odd.
