Skimmer overflowing

I have a Remora Pro hob skimmer that keeps over flowing with water. I have cleaned It and raised collect cup as high as It will go. Nothing has been added to water and nothing has happened with tank. Has anyone experienced this before?
 
I constantly had trouble with that with my coral-life skimmer. Usually it was a problem with the needle wheel or the air intake clogging. As I recall eventually I wound up drilling out the intake hole a bit (where the silencer plugs in) I did that not long before the tank crashed, but that and a vinegar bath 4 years later and I've not had any trouble yet (going on 16 days with a cycling tank). Check for salt/calcium build-up on the impeller of the pump if you can dis-assemble it, and at the air intake on the intake before the impeller :) also the air release on the output just to be safe. These are the areas most likely to cause a drop in bubbles and overflowing with just water in my experiences.

I hope that helps you some, as I know how frustrating it was with a 55G losing 2" of water off the top.. I couldn't even begin to imagine that with a 100G O.o
 
Thanks for the reply but the Remora does not use air like most skimmers.

Unlike previous forms of skimming, our spray injection method enables huge amounts of air and water to be processed with a relatively small pump. Although it is a simple process, there is still some confusion as to how the spray injector works.

Imagine that you're washing your car – you've got a bucket full of soapy water and a garden hose with a fast-moving stream of water. By placing your thumb over the end of the hose, you can disrupt the stream into a turbulent, high –pressure spray. it doesn't use what?.... regardless, it is different from the standard ones I'm use to. check out that spray nozzle and ensure it doesn't have calcium/salt buildup or any other sort of mineral build-up preventing it from properly taking in air.. ditto for wherever it is sourcing that air intake from.
