Skimmer overkill??

Would a Bubble magus curve 7 be way overkill for a red sea reefer 170?

I am currently picking up a red sea reefer 170, tomorrow (used). I see that there is a bubble magus curve 7 for sale for $150 in perfect condition. Would it be okay togo with or should I go with a bubble magus curve 5? Thanks guys!

I’d say that’s to much. I use that on my 90gal and it’s borderline to much.
