My LFS recommended I buy a Reef Octopus XP1000SSS skimmer for my 75 gallon tank that I will be setting up soon (I hope), I will be putting it in side my sump which is an Aqeon Proflex Model 2. I am a bit confused to the tank capacity it says it will work on (says up to 125g). Am I to assume that includes the sump?

Also, every website I go to now lists the thing for $419 and a month ago it was listed at $345. Is there a shortage on plastic or is this such a good skimmer that the price is representing the demand for it now?
I see Dr F and S has it on sale $340 now, should I just buy it????

Coralvue raised the prices on their skimmers by up to 25% If you can find one on sale by it, it will not go down in price
