Skimmer ozone port

Hey all, I have an atb 8.5 deluxe skimmer. In it their are two air hoses coming out of the pump in the water, one goes to air silencer for air, the other goes to a closed off ozone port. (Not in use, I don’t have ozone)

Am I supposed to leave it on the port sealed off, or can I have it open and pulling in more air?

Keep in mind the more air you move through them pump the less water. As long as you can get the contents high enough in the body to skim it would be fine.

You can plug of the 2nd hose or just lit it suck in water. IT will work ether way
