Skimmer Plumbing

I am setting up an external Regal Octopus 250EXT skimmer. This question is about the PVC type (I say that because it feels lighter) piping for the output. This piping still needs to be glued, correct?

Pvc pipe needs to be cemented. First use a primer then the cement. use a liberal amount.
