I just checked my sump this morning, and my skimmer is not on. Its plugged in but not doing anything, I raised my water temperature to 80 degrees and had it running with the collection cup off for the last week. It's a bubble magus curve 9. Wondering if anyone would know why it stopped working? Also I just topped off my system and the water level raised about an inch in the sump. Thank you.

Your going to have to take the pump apart and check for any obstructions that may be preventing impeller from turning freely. If it was running it may increase water temps a little but shouldn’t if it’s not.

Okay, I raised the water temps myself to hopefully create more bacteria in my tank.

I agree with Retro Reefer - it would have to get much much hotter for temp to affect the pump, and you would see the tank heat up much more then 80. Sound like it's time to take it apart and take a look.

Okay it's weird because its only been running a week I have no clue why it would get clogged up already.
