Hey guys this is my first actual thread on R2R. I have been on here browsing for a while though and yesterday I was part of the Reefraft live sale which was a blast. Anyways to my problem. I have a 30 gallon shallow reef that has been going for about 8 months now. When I set the system up I bought a SC-65 skimmer which I like a lot. It has always worked great. So now to my problem. I moved recently and after I got the whole system setup at my new place and the skimmer up and running it is now creating micro bubbles. It has never done that in the 8 mobths before. A bubble trap is my last option as of now because I use a Rubbermaid as my sump unless someone knows an easy diy bubble trap in a Rubbermaid. Or maybe someone will know what's wrong with my skimmer. Thanks guys!!

Sounds like it will need to break in again. It should get better in a few weeks.

That's what I was thinking also. It's going to run like it did when it was brand new due to you having it unplugged for a while. Like Pete said just let it run and the micros should cut out.

Can I post a picture at this low of post count? And what exactly do you want a picture of? The skimmer, bubbles in tank? Thanks guys

You guys were right. Seems like the skimmer may just have to settle back in. Bubbles are down about 75% today from what they were just last night. I'll keep watching and see if they continue to go down. I was not aware that another "break in" period could happen. Thanks guys!! Thanks guys!!

I'll get a pic up of the system and specs of everything sometimes this week. I've been battling a bad algae outbreak and just now am getting it under control I think
