Indecision may or may not be my problem.
Are you asking about shimmer and filter combo units or something? Sorry but your thread title and first post are making very little sense to me.
If you are asking about combo units, Coralife makes a filter and skimmer hang on back model.
If you're after just a skimmer for a 20g, you may want to consider a hang on back skimmer as most internals will look odd in your tank and many of them have awkward mounting pieces for internal use.

If you're looking for a protein skimmer that sits inside your display, there aren't many options (Tunze makes one).
If you're looking for a skimmer to simply hang on the back of the tank, you can search for "20 gallon HOB skimmer" to find a variety of brands and options (AquaMaxx makes a highly regarded HOB skimmer, as does Reef Octopus. Vertex is also making one).
If you have a sump, then there are a wide variety of skimmers that will fit in a sump depending on how much space you have and your water level.
Browsing the skimmer options on Bulk Reef Supply and Marine Depot should give you a good idea of what's out there.
