I am in the process of re-starting my old 75g. I have an older EuroReef CS6-1 that used the sedra 3500. I need to replace the pump and planned on using the Sicce PSK600.

2 questions I have are..........

1 - Does anyone know if this pump will be good for this skimmer?
2 - The original sedra had a Venturi type of intake nozzle, does the Sicce have this, or will i need to fabricate something for this?

You can still get Sedra 3500 if you want to do that. Sicce PSK is a good skimmer pump, but no idea if it will have the right flow and contact time - going to have to try it and see. You can buy the Sicce PSK with the vloute and venturi and stuff, but you will have to fabricate a way to attach it to the body with a uniseal or some sort of bulkhead or something.

I meant to add this above, but I still use a ER 12-2 (I think, maybe a 12-1) and I still buy the Sedra Pumps when they go out, which seems to be about every 5-6 years. I did put a Sicce PSK 1000 into a ASM G3 body and it works fine... fitted up a screw-in deal through the body and uniseal with some parts from the hardware store. I also put a Tunze Hydrofoamer into a G3 body and it also is really good. I had to put the ER 12-2 into my sump before I put the tank on, so that body cannot come out, so I am kinda married to it... which is fine since it still is better then nearly anything else out there.

Do you have a recommendation on where you buy the Sedras?

I usually look at eBay or Amazon - whomever has them as is cheapest after shipping. I would avoid used Sedra pump - just too many sitting in closets for years with swollen magnets and stuff.
