Skimmer pump watts low?

Hello everyone, I picked up a Reef Octopus INT-200 with an Aquatrance 3000s pump a couple days ago. The pump is rated at around 35 watts. My Apex is showing it at 25 watts. Does it sound like there is an issue with the pump?

Reason why I ask is I wrote Amazon and put in a return request because it looked as if the box was dropped. The box wasnt to damaged on the outside but the styrofoam was beat up and broken all over the inside. I didnt see anything noticeably wrong with the skimmer but I am wondering if the pump might be bad because of the watts.

I dont want to return it if it isnt bad.

Seems to be. It is only q couple days in so it's hard to tell. Seems to be collecting some skimmate for the break in period. I just dont know if it is working at its top Performance with lower watts?
