Skimmer question

I added some more rock and added to my aquascape and notice my skimmer and sock overflowed with bubbles, would it be safe to say i can turn the skimmer back on in the morning or wait longer?

I'ld wait. Try it in the morning maybe leave the skimmer cup off and let it overflow into the sump a day or two. Similar things happen when you dose chemical treatments to tanks.

When you added the rock you changed the water levels in your tank and sump. You will need to adjust the level back to where the skimmer wasn’t overflowing.
