I'm looking for a new skimmer for my SPS tank. The aquarium volume is around 150g but my sump adds another 30-40g. I'm currently running one of the old Octopus Extreme 200 pumps that came out about 6-7 years ago. I upgraded it with a bubble blaster 2000 pumps. It originally had the Sicce PSK-2500.
I'm looking for something a bit more beefy but more quite than this setup. Can anyone make a recommendation? I'm looking for something that I could use in a bigger system if I upgrade in the next few years. So it would need to handle at least twice the water volume I currently run.
The Skimz line of skimmer on BRS get good reviews, I also hear good things about bubble king, vertex, etc. Too many choices...
