Skimmer recommendation for high flow.

Hi all.

Got a rather new 600L setup and I’m having trouble with micro bubbles from my Nyos Quantum 160.

The flow rate in my sump is >4000lph and it seems to be pulling bubbles from the bottom plate and sucking them in to the tank.

I think fitting another bubble trap would be tough, any recommendations for a new skimmer?

I know the Deltec one has a double footplate but I tried one for a week from a friend and it didn’t seem to skim very well compared to the Nyos.

Any ideas?

I dont think youll find a bubble free skimmer for high flow

If it's relatively new, just give it time to fully break in and it should create less bubbles that get outside the skimmer.

All new skimmers produce micro bubbles that get into the display and time takes care of the problem.

Yeah i agree if the skimmer is new it needs a while to develop bacteria then the bubbles will stop coming out provided its in the recommended water depth.
