Skimmer recommendation

I have 45 gallon JBJ rimless aquarium. It is a plug and play. I would like to install a small skimmer and someone recommended Tunze. I was looking on Amazon and the reviews were not great. Does anybody have a suggestion of something that is easy to use and effective?

I use the Tunze 9004 on the JBJ 45 Flat Panel. It runs dead silent and skims well. However, it does skim pretty wet. That is probably true with any skimmer this size. It is easy to clean, but the case will feel a little like you may break it to disassemble the unit.

I am just starting out and only just added my first fish, however I would like something that I can grow into in the future. Does that make sense?

Yes. It should be fine.

The Tunze 9004 fits right in the first or second chamber of my JBJ 45. Gives you a lot of options. I am glad I went with it. It’s a mixed reef with six fish.
