Hi all,

I have a 23g display + 10g sump (about 28 gallons total volume)

Heavy bioload

Currently run a skilter 250 modified that does a decent job, but it's not cutting it for my bioload

Most of the nano skimmers I see appear to be too small... but I don't want to spend more than 100 dollars... and am willing to upgrade the pump later.

What do you think about the IO Seaclone w/ maxijet? Looking to upgrade the pump later to a sicce.

Other options I am looking at:
  • Fluval Sea ps1 (and run 2 protein skimmers)
  • Icecap K-1 Nano (might be too small)
  • Reef Octopus NS-80 Nano (might be too small)

    Save up ($150-200 price range):
  • Eheim Skimmarine 300 (if I can find one/save up)
  • Tunze 9004
Any advice...

I run the Reef Octopus NS-80 Nano on a 65g tank (because of height constraints of stand/sump) and it works great. I was skeptical at first but an old time local reefer recommended it & it works like a charm.
