Hi

So i have this skimmer, but the LFS people not being really helpful in guiding how to set the skimmer properly. I can close and open the skimmer water entry point, but the LFS said just leave it half open. is that a correct way to do it?

Screenshots attached.

It all depends on how wet or dry you want the skimmate..the more water you let in the more wet the skimmate..the less water the more dry it is

sorry im not sure if i understand that correctly. what is the best option? wet or dry? never used any skimmer before thats why

A new skimmer needs to run a week or so to settle itself. I ran mine for about 24-48 hours in a bucket of water/vinegar first to clean off any manufacturing oil and debri... this helps to break in the skimmer.

That's out of question now, unfortunately. Coz it's already inside my tank now for like 3+weeks
