SWC double pump skimmer. I broke the connection of one pump clean off. I am wondering if it can be repaired by placing another line inside the one that broke or would it reduce the flow too much. I have a new skimmer in mind right now but keep looking at this beast sitting in the corner. Figured I would give it one more shot before throwing it away. I have been told it can not be glue back together. Any thoughts on the subject?
Thanks, Jim

I agree that it is a shame to not be able to use that large skimmer. Adding a hose would seem to reduce the flow too much. Is there any way to drill out or otherwise cut out the hose/pipe and adding a new fitting?

I see no reason why it cannot be glued. Use thickened Weldon if the broken piece is acrylic; regular solvent if it’s PVC; etc.
