Skimmer sizing

I bought a RO Elite 220 a while ago for a custom 150 I was setting up. Found out I may be moving in the next 6 months to a year so I am downsizing the tank to a 75 or 100 gallon since it's easier to move. Would the 220 still work or is it too large?
