Skimmer stand options

In my last tank, I had my internal Skimmer setting on a day box I made out of a plastic egg crate lighting louver. This time around, I have a deeper sump so the stand will need to be higher to achieve the water depth of 6-8".

For those of you that have internal skimmers, what do you use for a stand?

IceCap makes a clear acrylic adjustable height stand. it's just if you want to spend $30 on it or something else. I'd make the space useful and fill an egg crate with media rubble to utilize pods and bacteria.

The one benefit to the egg crate were all the holes for water flow. I might stick to the same thing. Guess no reason to fix what ain't broke.
