I bought an Aquamaxx WS-1 last week when it was on sale. Has good reviews and I needed to either fix or replace my eShopps PSK-100. I chose to replace it. It’s been running for a week and while technically still breaking in, it’s pulling some stank stuff. I would say I have a heavily stocked 40 gallon tank and the WS-1 is “rated” at 30 gallon heavy bioload. Since marinedepot has a sale on Vertex right now, it got me thinking about the Omega 130 or Bubble Magus 5. I watched a BRS video last night where Ryan recommended to undersize rather than oversize, but I’m still slightly concerned I’m too undersized. Thoughts?
