Several weeks ago I treated my tank with Chemiclean. I then did two 20% water changes a week apart. My skimmer is still going nuts, generating a profuse amount of foaming and no amount of adjustment will slow it down.
Any ideas as to what I can do, it was working great prior to the treatment.
Should I do another water change?

Thanks!

What kind of skimmer, and also you can try adding carbon to remove the rest.

I'd set it up as dry as it gets and measure the skincare and replace with new water.

It will eventually start working.

I have had to go up to a month with mine off before.

It could be priming and settling in. Give it a break from adjustments and let it settle for a bit before you adjust it again.

It's a Magus Curve 5 and I have two large bags of carbon running for over 2 weeks since the second water change. My DT is a 40B with a 20g refugium. The bubbles in the skimmer are very fine all the way up into the cup, I have the overflow tube going back into the sump since no skim mate is being removed at this time.
Well I guess I'll give it two more weeks and see what happens.
Thanks to all for your advice.

This is your problem. By letting the "skimmate" generated go back into your tank, you arent removing the cause of the issue. When Ive used chemiclean on my 300+ gallon system, I would have to generate about 10-15 gallons of "skimmate" before the skimmer would calm down and function as it had before. Instead of doing water changes, remove the "skimmate" and replace with freshly made salt water. Watch your ATO and consequently your salinity during this time. Should rectify the situation in a day or two.
