Skimmer Tuned?

I got my skimmer running today.
It is used, so I don’t know if it needs the break in period I have read about. How will I know when this thing is tuned properly? Does the cup fill up in a certain amount of time? I’m guessing they are all different sizes.
It’s a Nyos 160 if that makes any difference.

Yes the bubbles go over.
Yes nice and dark like coffee but thicker. If it looks like tee it’s too wet

Ok. It looks like really dark tea. I will give it a day then adjust.

The color and amount of skimmate will depend on the nutrient load of the tank as well as whether you are skimming more wet or dry.
