I recently got an Eshopps S-120 skimmer, which will be my first skimmer as I am just now moving into coral and RODI (used tap before in my FOWLR). To my knowledge there are three ways I see of adjusting: air, water level, and some kind of adjustment screw to allow more/less water to escape the skimmer chamber. I have been able to adjust the air so that all of the very tiny bubbles rise up, but do not spill over, into the collection cup. It has been running for about an hour like this but nothing has fallen into the cup. Also the bubbles at the top of the chamber are very fine, unlike other skimmers I have seen where the bubbles start to get larger at the top. Any suggestions or tips for tuning?

If this is a new tank ..might not be anything in the water too skim yet

Some skimmers will break in right o way and some will take up to 3 weeks.
So if yours is always overflowing remove the lid and let it rip, when it calms down the you start to make small adjustments.
