Looking to upgrade my Asm G4 skimmer that I use on my 150 gallon reef tank with a 40 gallon breeder sump.should I go with a skimz or reef octopus . Trying to stay under 400.00. What do you guys recommend .

You could look at the 3000 or the larger Classic series for your setup.
