Skimmer vs refugium

So I have a biocube 29 that I have mad bunch of mods to removed hood got an xr15 and installed an icecap 15 sump but I can decide if I should run a skimmer in chamber 2 or just a refugium right now tank is cycling I have also removed the back wall on the biocube to give some more space so cant do anything there what's everyone's thoughts for a small tank skimmer or just refugium

I would go with the skimmer.

You could also experiment with some non-evasive, yet attractive, macro algae in the display. Check out Gulf Coast Ecosystems at live-plants.com.
