This is my first post, so bear with me.
I've had a nano 20g since Christmas. Just bought a (used) 75g upgrade with a (new) 30g sump and we're trying to figure everything out before we move everything over. With the 75g tank came an SCA301 skimmer that we'd like to take advantage of.

As we're setting up the sump, hubby thinks we can drain the skimmate back into the filter sock rather than into a separate container or stopping the drain tube completely.

I can't find anything online giving an answer/suggestion one way or the other, so I'm asking here.

I have the skimmer running on my nano right now, so I don't have a picture of the setup the way it would be.
TIA for your help!

A filter sock removes minimal if any dissolved organic compounds/matter... Which I believe are classified by being able to pass through a 0.45 μm filter (although I could be very wrong).. most filter socks are in the 200 micron range.
