I have never noticed this before, maybe it's normal, but my skimmer is making a weird color in the collection cup. Normally it's a dark green color, but as of last night the color of the bubbles is a lighter blue. What is going on?

Any water treatment chemicals or a change of food or aminos? I have seen brown to green but not blue.

Is your tank somehow getting sunlight from a window? That can cause greenwater algae blooms. Haven't seen blue before. Very interesting.

Sometimes it gets sunlight from across the room but not usually. And even if it does, it's a small amount near sundown...ugh this is weird lol

T5s that run for 7.5 hrs and low powered Leads that run just to give the aesthetic of sunset and sundown. I've been running these lights for around a year and have never seen this happen. There's no algae in the DT, just the skimmer cup.

Interesting. Haven't seen that kind of color before. Lighting seems solid but it still looks like greenwater to me. Maybe someone else with more experience can chime in here.

Have you added any supplemental bottled Trace Elements'?
Not recently. It's been probably 7-8 months since I've done that. I'm confused because while the bubbles are in the skimmer, they're their normal whitish color until they get to the collection cup, then they're blue...Im gonna clean out the collection cup and see if there's something in there.
