I have a Bubble Magus curve five elite that I have had for almost a year.
Yes broken in was working fine. Doing great right where it was. Cleaned it a week ago in tap water.
Only. Didn’t use anything else did some scrubbing but it wasn’t too bad.
It has not dialed in. I have raised it about four inches, I have let it sit and just run. I’ve adjusted it over and over and let it run I’ve running the overflow tube back into my filter socks to catch the skim
Does anyone have any ideas.
This is my third skimmer and I haven’t seen anything like this before
Thanks

You shouldn’t need to re-break in after cleaning
Put skimmer, running, in bucket of solution of white vinegar and let run overnight. Next day rinse, dry, put back in sump.

Thinking Venturi is blocked with calcium build up

The Venturi is supplying more air than anything that’s why I can’t dial it in. It’s overflowing. I used a brush to clean out the Venturi.
Now normally using vinegar at times after doing the above you do need to redial sometimes so that’s why I didn’t use vinegar
It was working pretty good but it had some gunk in it. So I decided to basically just rinse it out and scrub some of the wires places
Out where there was more gunk on it with just fresh water

Nah,
Know it sounds backwards, but....
With Venturi style skimmer the more air that gets sucked in, the lower the water level. Venturi starts to get blocked,/less air, water level goes up.
