Skimmer working ok?

Sorry guys for s very stupid question
I never had a skimmer before

Is it how it should work ? All the foam coming out from the top ?
Or something us bad .
What about adjusting? Keeping it open , almost close ?

I guess I figured it out
it was too low, I will need to rise the skimmer
I got some rubber mat at home depot

hi, I have the same rsk300. On the adjustment know there is a sticker indicating the water level and I have mine set for just on the bottom of the red sticker. Open the adjustment knob all the way and let it run for an hour or two the slowly bring the top of the bubbles up to the bottom of the collection cup from there it will be very very small adjustments to get your desired level of skimate.

I just looked at you video again and it looks like a rsr250 v3 sump? If it is I would just lower the adjustable fuge wall to its lowest setting and that will give you a good water line for the skimmer.
