SKIMMER yes or no?

Wanted people's input on pros & cons of a skimmer, some people have said use one & others say do not. I have a 13.5 gallon.

They’re beneficial to a tank but it isn’t necessary
In a tank that size I wouldn’t bother

Agree with James. Overkill for 13g. Make sure you do water changes/sand bed siphon periodically, then you are good.

I'm into small tanks and never had a skimmer. I consider a refugium a must though, really helps keep the tank balanced.
