I just added the fluval mini to my Evo 13.5 Gallon tank. How do i know the correct level to put the bubbles at can someone please help me figure this out thanks.

You want the bubbles to just break over the rim of the throat. At least that’s what I do, I prefer a thicker, darker skimate. There are some people that do prefer the bubbles to break a little higher and have a wetter lighter skimate. Just remember, the wetter you go the more you have to watch your salinity.

I'd set it up so that when you initially turn it on the bubbles reach the bottom of the collection cup. Once it starts skimming it will build foam up and the foam will then be fairly dry by the time it reaches high enough to flow over into the collection cup.

+1 Use this method with my Bubble Magus curve 7 (obviously much bigger) and get a good dark skimmate.
