So I've had my simmer off for the duration of my cycle. I clicked it on tonight to try and get it tuned up. It's a Skimz. So after I turned it on (to get bubbles at the base of the cup) it's spitting a lot of air bubbles into the main tank. It's only been on for about 5 minutes. Is this normal? Should I give it a few to see if it clears up?

Is the skimmer in your sump? Try moving your skimmer further away from your return pump. Can you put a sock on it to slow down the bubbles exiting or readjust the skimmer so it’s away from the baffles in your sump. This will allow the bubbles to be removed into the air from your sump instead of blown directly into you tank.

Yes it is in the sump but I don't have much option to move it. It is in the far right back corner in the below picture. Which then feeds onto the other side of the fuge chamber.

You mean put a sock where the water comes out of the skimmer??
