novice here, tank just cycled, added 2 clownfish.
I have red sea 170 max with rear sump only.
Regarding the skimmer - how 'intense' should I set it? I can adjust the air intake to produce a very small or very large amount of skimmate/foam very quickly. Should I have the skimmer making skimmate slowly over the course of several days or wks? or faster over just a day? I know this probably depends on how much organics my tank is producing, but since I am just starting out, I dont have a reference on what it should be roughly.
