Why does my skimmer create so many micro bubbles is it bc it directly in my tank and not a sump or what it makes my water seem not as clear

The micro bubbles is how the skimmer brings up skim mate into the cup . Unless it was a shallow or frag tank I wouldn’t put mine in the tank as the level of the water in relation to the skimmer is vital for its success . As to why your tank seems unclear I’d have to see a pic . Is the skimmer collecting skim mate???

It's a 40 gallon breeder I have coral and fish and ya it picked up stuff from the tank it was brown and it hangs on the back but it's making micro bubbles all over the tanknot just in or near the skimmer

How long have you had the skimmer? It can take a little while to break-in. You can also try adjusting the height to see if that has an effect.

2 days is all I've had it

It’s common for skimmers to release micro bubbles. Even some of the larger in sump skimmers have micro bubble issues. That’s where baffles come in handy. But as blaxsun said give it time because skimmers can take a week or more to break in and become efficient. They’re will most likely still be micro bubbles but far less then during the break in period.
