Skimming problem

I cleaned out my skimmer a month or two ago. I put it back together like it was before. I believe it was working fine afterwards but a few weeks later I believe it stopped skimming. It just won’t bubble enough. If I cut off more air to get the bubbles higher it will turn into a bunch of water and still won’t go high enough.

The water level is at the recommended height

ALSO TO NOTE: I am now having an insane cyano and GHA algae that I never had till this skimmer started messing up

I know that can be frustrating! Have you tried pouring hot water down the white air line? When you cleaned your skimmer a month ago how far did you disassemble it? You may want to confirm that the air line is fully connected at the top within the red tube.

Definitely is a difficult one, so

I have not tried hot water down the air line ,

I disassembled it completely, the pump was completely apart.

The air line runs straight to my pH booster and has tons of air flowing through it

I can try those things first

Skimmers don’t do a lot. I gave up on them a while back. Your problems lie elsewhere.

Got it fixed, air was seeping through the pump connection to the tee where the air and water comes in, somehow wasn’t connected fully. The air line was connected though

In addition, after fixing that I found that if connected to my ph booster that the skimmer won’t bubble high enough still which is odd because I changed nothing there . I connected to the original air point and it works
