skimming without stripping nutrients?

My water is quite clear aside from particulates floating in the water. Just wanted to know how long I could run my oversized skimmer(bk 200dc on 525xl) to do a daily maintenance type of thing to improve water quality whilst not removing nutrients. Thanks!

When you say improve water quality, are you referring to oxygenation of the water, stabilization of pH or removal of DOCs?

Like removing particulates in terms of improving water quality but both the later wouldn't hurt!
