I recently purchased a Skimz BR83 have been impressed with it's performance and construction. The reactor resides inside the sump and runs quiet.
A DC pump connects to the bottom of the reactor and has more than enough power to keep the pellets tumbling. The flow rate is manipulated by a variable speed controller rather than a ball valve.
The mounting bracket can be configured to mount to a sump baffle or euro brace. The bracket allows for height adjustment of the canister and also allows the canister to swivel, which is nice feature when you want to tweak the direction of the water leaving the canister.
