I have a SkimZ Kone E series skimmer on my 525XL that has been working great. For no apparent reason is suddenly overflowing like crazy to the point I have had to unplug it. I cleaned it about 2 weeks ago and noticed it started to get water in the collection cup, only about 1/3 of the cup was water, but still getting lots of yucky stuff out like it's supposed to. After I pulled the cup out to empty it and put it back in, now it won't stop overflowing. I haven't added anything new or any chemicals other than 2 part that is dosed every day. I have gone back to original instructions and followed those, watched BRS TV and followed what was said there.

Start with opening the valve all the way and before I even have a chance to close it, the cup has overflowed. I've tried starting with the valve shut, it overflows. I have the skimmer out and checked all hoses and fittings.

There has to be something really ridiculous that I am missing!! Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

All your fish and big snails accounted for?
Well... fish for sure. Snails might be another story. Would be hard to tell that. Are you thinking something might be stuck somewhere? I can sure pull it out again if so. This thing has worked like a charm, so I just don't get it.
