Hello guys so I have a skimz algae reactor and it is run by a skimz QuietPro 1.2 dc pump so I’m getting an error code that says E1 which from what I have read means over voltage.. anyone know what would cause this and is their any way to fix it? Thanks Spencer

How old is the pump and when is the last time it was cleaned? Sometimes if the pump is dirty and it has to work harder it requires more power.

I just took it apart and cleaned it when I saw the message and still having the issue.. it’s 6 months old

OP, how did you end up fixing this issue? I also have a Skimz MBR128, and I just got the E1 error after about 6 months of use. Did you have to replace the pump? I was hoping I could just replace the controller which is a lot cheaper - $30 vs $100. Thanks,

The exact same error message happened with my Skimz reactor after about 6 months of use too. I ended up just taking it offline and putting it in garage. Should've just gone with the Arid reactor or algae scrubber instead. The Skimz was total waste of money.

I ended up replacing just the controller for $30 from BRS and it fixed the issue. So it appears that the error is due to a faulty controller - not pump. While not ideal it did beat paying $100 to replace the pump and controller.
