So my Vectra M1 decided to quit working last night. I had problems with it restarting a couple weeks ago but it started working again. Based on that I decided I'd better buy a backup and I decided to try something new.
Out of the box:
Neatly packaged, sturdy box. Looks.... like a pump.
Includes tubing adapters, but no hard plumbing fitting.... boooo
Quick chop of my PVC, glued in a 3/4" barb, and I'm back in business.
Running the 9.0 at full power I'm getting roughly the same flow as the M1 @ 80%. I barely had to tweak the return valve (Reefer 350). A little disappointing since this pump is rated for 2377gph vs 2000gph on the Vectra. It would probably do much better with larger output plumbing.
