Hey guys have a few questions about my new biopellet reactor. I bought in on black Friday but finally got around to setting it up two days ago. After quite of few learning mistakes, I was able to get the media tumbling after 24 hours in the reactor. (Soaking first for 24 hours would have been a much better way to start it). So my question is related to the valve that regulates the effluent. So after a few hours the valve itself is getting clogged. If I giggle it then it clears out. My question is why do I even need the valve? Rather than controlling the rate of effluent couldn't I just control the amount of media and get the same results? Is there something I am missing? Wanted to ask before removing the valve.
