I have a Skimz RR93 and a couple of Skimz RR153 and have been using them since February (2019) i got the RR93 as it supposed to be able to have GFO as a media that you can set to tumble, big mistake as GFO ends up everywhere. so recently i decided to reuse it as a biopellet reactor. Then i noticed it started slowing down until eventually the bio pellets stopped tumbling i thought ok maybe a clean. I struggled to get the motor off but then i got a little perplexed as there is a middle section that i cant seem to take apart. The two white disks that act as a water accelerator and a mounting plate seemed to be glued in. i called customer support and they seemed to think you can twist and pull it apart but on mine it seems those plates are glued in. has anyone else come across this and how did you clean out the middle section of the reactor.

I purchased one of these awhile ago and am finally getting around to setting it up. What has your experience been with this guy? Did you find out how to clean the middle section?

Hey, I like them other than the not being able to figure out how to clean the middle section. I prefer the rr153 as the pump is more powerful. I believe they have changed them on the newer versions so you can detach the bottom from the main chamber to clean it.
