Skimz SN127 DC skimmer help

i just installed an SN127 DC protein skimmer made by SKIMZ. I know that there is a break in period. The problem is the skimmer is extremely loud. It’s supposed to be very quiet. Is this because it’s breaking in or is there a problem?

Not a break in problem I have the sn 143 qp my problem is microbubbles the noise isn’t really quite but most of my skimmer noise comes from the air intake and not the pump so I don’t think it gets any quieter

Yeah I can hear the air intake. The pump is probably five times louder than the air intake. It looks like I might have to call and talk to support or something. I may have a bad pump.

Should only be a light hum especially if the dc pump is set low or medium.

Yeah, something is definitely wrong with the pump then.

As an update I got a new pump installed a couple weeks ago and has been running great. I am running into an issue now with my micro water adjustment. I can spin the knob and nothing happens in either direction. I turn it off and I spin it I can see the bottom open and close but while running no luck. Has something come loose?

Hmm that’s strange because if I close that little door all the way my water level rises to my collection cup and the bubbles start to spill out rapidly.
