So I have a yellow watchman goby and any time I try to go to feed the tank he darts back into his cave and wont come out for awhile. I never see him getting any of the food. Any ideas?

He’ll come up if he’s hungry enough. Mine is the same way. I also try to squirt a little food in his cave with a turkey baster

I have been feeding frozen brine and mysis shrimp. I've seen him coming out a little more as of yesterday. How is the pistol eating? Same way? Some scraps or something floating around?

Mine is like that, very picky. I suspect he eats things you do not notice. Mine prefers pellets to all other food and even then will only eat once day. This has been going on for over one year and he seems healthy.

Nice! I pretty much just hear the pistol at night or randomly when he snaps his claw. Other than that I haven't seen him. He is still pretty small.Yeah he comes out with the watchmen and collects some food. I also like to think the watchman helps bring food back

Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try some marine spectrum pellet food and see if he goes after that.
